Review of The New World (2005) by Jack H — 09 Feb 2010
Terrence Malick will go down in history as the most overrated movie director ever. Having made just four films in almost 40 years, he doesn't have a lot of experience at creating stories. This is not Disney's Pocahontas and while I liked the imagery and the look of the movie, I just felt bored.
It's like going on a field trip to a colonial village and having to sit through that awful documentary they make you watch. The only difference was then, you were not in class. Here, you just get up and leave.
