Review of The New World (2005) by Conjo Y — 10 Aug 2010
Terrence Malick takes forever between films, but when he makes one, he really makes one! Every bit as epic and gorgeous as his earlier work, 'The Thin Red Line'. It's a tad long, but the pacing does help to give it all a dream-like quality.
I'm surprised this got as many negative reviews as it did. James Horner really changed things up for the score. Doesn't sound like him at all. It's haunting.
