Review of The New World (2005) by Marcel S — 19 Dec 2010
Another Malick visual masterpiece. AS all Malick movies the structure and story are not conventional, not at all. This a is really slow poetic movie about man and nature. It is also the true gritty story of Pocahontas and John Smith, not the cute Disney one.
The girl that play Pocahontas is really cute too haha amazing movie great music, visual. Amazing film making all around though a lot to digest here very very very slowly! If you can sit down through it and enjoy it props, if not well that suxs this is a real artist makng films here, making visual and aural poems.
