Review of The New World (2005) by Allison J — 24 May 2011
The girl who plays Pocahontas is obviously talented. The cinematography is nice--gorgeous in places. And those might be the only two factors that kept me watching this dull, too-long movie. I think there were a dozen instances when I thought, "what's going on?" I'm all for subtlely, but there is such as thing as being too subtle.
