Review of The NeverEnding Story (1984) by Mitch M — 18 Dec 2010
Its a sweet, childlike tale of imagination. Though with bad acting, The Neverending Story is actually one of the more magical movies I have ever seen. I was abosrbed by the tale and the characters within it.
For the first 20 minutes you dont really know where it is going, but by halfway it finds its mark and becomes very fantastical. The only real bummer on this movie is the corny actors and some of the rather odd things in this world.
But that is part of the world. The animation (though old) is actually pretty watchable and would have been amazing back then. This movie is much more childish than Narnia, but has that same wonder to it.
A wonder than absorbs you and makes you feel like a child. The plot, is too attached to some of the twist, and quite hard to explain that I wont do it now. But this movie (take my word for it) is very good.
An amazing family film that is recommended to anyone. 8/10.
