I remember this fondly from when I was little. Incredibly weird, but visually inspired and exciting always, The Neverending Story has charm and heart to spare, and visual dazzle to go around, thanks in part to the strong imagination and genius at work here.

Saddest part is still when Atreyu's horse dies... oh my God...
