Review of The Net (1995) by Lora R — 27 Apr 2010
I would say about 50% of this rating is nostalgia, and the other 30% is actual enjoyment. Making movies that prominently feature computer technology and internet always carries the risk of being horribly dated (look at Hackers, or for that matter, Star Trek) but if they have an interesting story or premise, the 'dated' issue doesn't really matter to me.
Of course it'll look awful and the blatant use of floppy disks makes me laugh, but I loved this movie as a kid, I still find it entertaining now.
