Good news - if you saw 'Only God Forgives' and thought it wasn't really *that* out there, Nicholas Winding Refn heard you. Has a lot going for it stylistically, but from a narrative viewpoint, this quasi-horror tale equating the L.
A. entertainment industry with vampirism/cannibalism isn't as original as it likes to think. Elle Fanning is hopelessly miscast as someone who's supposed to be a breathtaking beauty; while she's not ugly by any means she's not helped by comparison to all the model types that perpetuate the mise.
