Review of The Neon Demon (2016) by Fernando P — 17 Mar 2017
The exterior beauty, the youth and the superficiality are the main themes that are developed in the new film of Nicolas Winding Refn that is conducted under its own cinematic style that turns out to be very eccentric and quirkish, being accompanied by the beautiful images portrayed of the director Of photography, and the rhythm of the story narrated with a seductive soundtrack.
But all these excellent elements make a good movie? They may make a good film visually, but when the plot is banal, frivolous and without any touch of sanity, it is impossible to understand the intention of telling a story that does not even convey a final message of reflection or at least one last admirable scene, alone Is as repugnant as it is unnecessary.
