Review of The Neon Demon (2016) by Quietgiant — 27 Jun 2016
Refn through and through. Gorgeous cinematography, wonderful synthy score, heaps of style, macabre imagery, awkward dialogue, and surreal storytelling you might find pretentious. Like Only God Forgives before it, this one will polarize and is not for everyone, but if you're up for a vivid and distinct sensory treat unlike most films you find in a given year, this arthouse flick is one beautiful satire of beauty.
