Review of The Neon Demon (2016) by Denzildean — 06 Jan 2018
This is a solid movie delving into superficiality, consumerism, narcissism, desire and yearning ambition. The tight framing used throughout most the film compliment the characters' fragmented, and somewhat stifling situations.
Nicolas Winding Refn's ability to create visual sequences that are at once astounding and bewildering is nigh on unrivalled in mainstream cinema.
