Review of The Negotiator (1998) by Alex H — 22 May 2008
Both Kevin Spacey and Samuel L Jackson are perfect in this film. It is really tense and keeps you on the edge of your seat most of the time. The only thing that lets the film down is that most of the supporting cast are not portrayed well at all.
The film is all about trying to make you think a different conclusion is going to happen. Most of the supporting cast are not given a fair representation of their characters and it just makes you think certain people are bad without explaining why they are acting that way in the first place.
Still if you ignore all the faults, it is a very entertaining movie.
