Review of The Nativity Story (2006) by Ronnie G — 20 Dec 2009
Mehh. It's not that good. We all know the story inside and out(even nonchristians know it well) so its hard to find any attraction in the plot. The acting was semi-engaging. The few redeeming qualities were the backgrounds and the costumes.
The views were scenic and kept in line with a common mans view of the Holy Land back then. THankfully it was not anglicized like all the other "good" chrsitian movies, and I counted only one random white guy over all.
The costumes were the real centerpiece of this films attraction. With plenty of fake beards, crowns, piercings, and bands of cloth. I don't recommend this unless you're bored or seriously interested.
I was both so of course it appealed to my taste. But not very well.
