Review of The Nativity Story (2006) by Calvin D — 20 Dec 2009
I had some problems with it, such as the portrayal of Romans like comical villains. Ciarin Hinds performance as Herod is exceptional. It's quite a smart adaptation of what seems like a really small story.
They find good ways to flesh it out, and add humourand adventure. The lead actors who play Mary and Joseph seemes really stoic at first, but their emotions go deeper as the story progresses and the performance is quite good.
