Review of The Nativity Story (2006) by Mark S — 26 Dec 2009
Too much is spent not sticking to the Bible and adding in filler and backstory. The Three Wiseman at times come off as The Three Stooges and Herod doesn't seem much of a villain as the Romans themselves.
Also, the relationship with Joseph and Mary is hardly believable, but once they arrive at the inn, is when suddenly, that is the moment, the defining moment when the movie really takes off and you feel you were part of Jesus' immaculate birth and entry into this world.
