Review of The Nativity Story (2006) by Connie C — 04 Apr 2010
Very true to scripture, this is a sweet tale of acceptance of duty and even a sort of love story. It is not too Hollywood, except for the use of the feature of fore-shadowing, showing crucifixion, distaste at sellers in a holy place and shepards.
Otherwise very humble, if only a little over-dramatic in the â??no room at the innâ?? scene. Well-cast without hint of Hollywood or British actors with clear accents (thatâ??s usually what annoys me in historical films) with Keisha Castle-Hughesâ?? Mary as humble and innocent as one would expect of such a saintly woman.
