Review of The Nanny Diaries (2007) by Bryan L — 22 Apr 2010
Very underrated. This is far from being the horrible chick-flick that it was marketed as upon its release. Instead, it is a rather touching movie about class and the responsiblities of bringing up a child.
In many ways it is much better, and certainly more accessible, than Pulcini and Berman's previous effort American Splendor. Acting honours go to Laura Linney who, as usual, never puts a foot wrong.
