Review of The Namesake (2006) by Lance M — 24 Jan 2009
A wonderful story of the both generational and cultural differences (and similarities). Some beautifully framed sequences. Loved the imagery of Calcutta in the opening shots and in the "visual poem" in the DVD extras.
The acting was superb, subtle and not overbearing. So much was said with just a glance or nod.
