Review of The Naked Prey (1965) by Chris G — 03 May 2008
After offending an African tribe during an elephant hunt, Cornel Wilde and his group are kidnapped and tortured. Wilde is then released by the natives who then chase him through the African landscape. I'm sure it was a huge influence on Gibson's Apocalypto.
Entertaining chase picture has some decent action sequences, but isn't afraid to pause for a bit and deliver some amazing photography. Great use of stock and nature footage. Love the last moment between the hunter and the hunted.
