Shockingly effective! As inane & incredulous as the plot sounds at first, it's pulled off really well. Hard to believe, I know. The dynamic between Heston & Parker is always intriguing. The threat of 'marabunta' (aka Killer Ants) is genuinely suspenseful, & the effects are fairly well done.
A suprising achievement.
