I'd intended to see this movie for years and finally had a chance while home sick. I've always been a fan of John Hurt since his performance in The Elephant Man - he may even be better in this film.
The movie focuses on the quirky British gay icon Quentin Crisp. Quentin defines the stereotype flaming homosexual and the movie provides a fascinating look at his life - how he never changed for an ignorant society but was always true to himself.
I loved how the movie was directed and narrated. Outstanding film!
