Shot entirely on location in New York City, which was a very rare thing in 1948. This was a groundbreaking film when it was released in 1948. It has lost a bit of its impact, but it is still an intriguing and watchable crime thriller.
The story follows a detective, played by Barry Fitzgerald as he investigates the murder of a young model.
