Review of The Myth of the American Sleepover (2011) by Troy D — 12 Aug 2011
This movie has been compared to Dazed & Confused if anything it is a very stripped down version of it at best. I also don't see it launching as many careers as that film did. To me it felt more like a nice lead in introduction for ensemble cast of characters in a coming of age drama more than a stand alone feature.
All that being said I liked it for what it is and respect the fact that it is free from the cliches of the studio system.
