Review of The Music Man (1962) by Thyme K — 12 Aug 2007
The flim-flam cam comes to town thinking he's gonna pull one over on these naive Iowa folk. Oh he's a good charmer but ultimately gets charmed hisself by the pretty librarian and her cute little brother :-) The only time we lost interest was during the first couple songs that Shirley Jones sang - not that she can't sing but the songs weren't any good (to us anyway).
The next day after watching this both me and my husband kept singing parts of the songs. "ye gods" and "great honk!".
