Review of The Music Man (1962) by Amy H — 18 Jan 2012
It shows it age with the cheesy acting and humor and it doesn't help that the characters are obscure and the plot is muddled and messy. Luckily, the musical numbers are stupendous, and Robert Preston is a marvel and although a victim of 60's cheesy acting as well, he is the shining star in a dragging and slow movie that's about an hour too long.
