Review of The Muse (1999) by Rob S — 30 Mar 2009
I found this very entertaining...Albert Brooks is a scriptwriter stuck in a creativity crisis when he meets Sarah(Sharon Stone), an asylum fugitive who convinces him(and Martin Scorsese,Rob Reiner, James Cameron and Jeff Brooks) that she's just what they need to get out of that dry spot.
And in doing so, she manages to drive everyone crazy with her silly requests... Andie MacDowell is lovely as Brooks' wife and the housewife-turned-home-made-cookie-goddess...The good thing about "Muse" is that it doesn't pretend to be something it's not-no high stuff, just pure, light entertainment.
And it succeeds in its attempt to entertain, leaving you a bit depressed that you don't require anything more form a film these days. But you'll have a few decent laughs.
