Review of The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) by Lester Y — 21 Jul 2010
Once again I have nothing interesting to say about this for a number of reasons. I mean, I was TWENTY the first time I saw this, which makes me kind of sad, as I would definitely have benefited from the wholesome entertainment and life lessons of the Muppets.
Great setpieces, solid songs (though a step down from The Muppet Movie), clever writing, and very adventurous without straying too much off the path. The scene with the rats in the kitchen is semi-unbelievable.
