Review of The Muppets (2011) by Tom S — 24 Jul 2012
It's a pretty fun movie. The songs are delightful (particularly 'Life's a Happy Song'), the acting is committed, and the Muppets themselves are fun as ever. The film has a real feel-good tone to it, something that rarely appeals to a dark and cynical person like me.
However, there are a couple of fourth wall jokes that feel forced (they can't give up because 'the movie's going to be over quickly') and it takes it a bit too far with the celebrity cameos.
Overall, it's a pretty fun watch, and a great family movie.
