Review of The Muppets (2011) by Alexander R — 20 Jan 2013
A witty, charming, cheerful and nostalgic re-entry from the most-loved puppets of all time, the Muppets. The film is refreshing and exuberant, with some great performances from Segal and Adams, but Jim Henson's "children" steal the show.
Also some relatively enjoyable show business gags, such as the "map" joke and the "Moppets". It's star-studded as well, including cameos from such like as Jack Black, Mickey Rooney, Jim Parsons and also Emily Blunt, whose cameo reminds "Moi" of her performance in The Devil Wears Prada.
The Muppets is one joyous, optimistic picture that one will either hate, or love. My decision is the latter.
