Review of The Muppets (2011) by Suz D — 28 Feb 2013
The Muppets reunite to save their old theatre from oil tycoon Tex Richman.
Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan and a Muppet himself is Gary's brother. On a trip to Los Angeles, they come across a plan by oil tycoon Tex Richman to purchase and destroy the Muppet Theatre to drill for oil recently discovered beneath it.
Walter calls on Kermit to reunite the old gang and soon the mission to save the theatre is underway with the Muppets putting on a show to raise enough money to buy it back.
Good, fun entertainment with a lot of singing and enjoyment for all ages - mostly. The Muppets does well to poke fun at itself, quite like the show always used to.
