Review of The Muppets (2011) by Grant H — 11 Nov 2014
Excellent movie. The writers and director bring The Muppets back to the mainstream for today's generation in this hilarious, clever, warm-hearted, fun adventure. It has a simple enough story, lots of energy, and plenty of musical numbers to keep the younger audiences entertained, while also throwing in a lot of celebrity cameos and jokes that the teen and adult audiences will understand and enjoy.
The cast, the human one anyway, is led by two incredible performances from Segel and Adams, as well as a hilarious supporting performance from Cooper, and plenty of great cameos. Overall, this is a perfect family film that reintroduces The Muppets to the world and opens the door for future projects.
