Review of The Muppet Movie (1979) by Prkprk P — 08 Jul 2009
Absolutely hilarious--this brand of comedy is so rare these days and it's real shame because it works so epically. puns, sight gags, and in-jokes that rival top-form ZAZ and Hope/Crosby. the story is both poignant and wildly entertaining and can appeal to just about any age group.
the songs are excellent--Rainbow Connection, need I say more? the wide array of cameos is also fantastic, from Richard Pryor and Bob Hope to Telly Savalas and Orson Welles. an awesome first-effort film from an already awesome franchise.
