The Muppet Movie is a film that appeals to everyone of all ages. It's funny like a Mel Brooks movie (hey, he's got a cameo), it does a successful job of letting you believe that puppets can drive cars, have dreams, and be funny, and it has a few good musical numbers.
With all the cameos (Steve Martin, Bob Hope, and Orson Welles in one movie? AWESOME!) this might be one of the best road trip movies ever made... well, at least one of my favorite. Nowadays, we can see Kermit, Fozzie, and Grover in many movies, but this must have been unbelievable to watch in 1979.
My only real gripe about The Muppet Movie: where's Cookie Monster? He's my favorite!!
