Growing up, I found myself terribly moved and touched by the Rainbow Connection song. It's insane how much one believes that Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang are actually real personalities. However, this movie is actually very strange.
Its wit is slightly adult but the whole affair has a bizarre quality that made sense in the late 70s but not so much anymore.
