Review of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) by Mikem. — 02 Aug 2008
Replacing Rachael Weisz with Maria Bello really compromises the chemistry of this franchise. Half of the fun of the first two movies was watching the interplay of Brendan Fraser's character with Ms Weisz; Ms Bello and him have about as much chemistry as two dead fish.
Once the movie gets going, about a third in, it starts to become enjoyable, as long as Ms. Bello isn't a primary focus. Fun, but could have been so much better.
