Review of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) by Jay M — 21 Oct 2013
This film begins with the same old cliché beginning of its predecessors establishing the tale of an emperor a long time ago that turned into the cursed tragic has-been; fated to be restructured & take over the world only to be stopped by the good party spoilers.
The dialog of this film was relatively basic & the plotting for me was completely predictable as the writers & the producers relied on the cliché type-casted themes of the previous movies, which in my opinion put the franchise on the water slide. Because of its budget the special effects were good. For a first time watcher of the Mummy franchise they may prefer this film over the other two, but for me the invigoration was not there. I give a boarder line thumb, not a movie I would want to watch again.
