(2008) The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon's Emperor.
ACTION/ ADVENTURE.
I'm very fortunate that I didn't see this at the theatre because it's a waste of time and money because this is one of those films I'd have "cringe" while watching some scenes with the need to use a fast- forward button. I was going to see this film after learning some of my favorite Hong Kong action stars was going to be in it such as Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li and Anthony Wong only to finally witness that their talents are in this film only to be wasted. The worst one of the franchise with idiotic film making at it's worst that while I was watching it, seemed like the director was trying to please everybody involved in the process of making this film including producers- to make everybody happy without any real thought about how it might "look" with audiences! The story which is identical to the first two "Mummy" films involves Brendon Frasor and company living in China of all places (with no explanantions) with it's goal to prevent this evil emperor (played by Jet Li) to succeed in living an everlasting life bring chaos! This film is like a poor made-for-tv variation of several films including "The Lord of The Rings" and the Indiana Jones films. Full of plot holes without any reasons why or how it came about, such as the abominable snowmen just coming out of nowhere! If you're fans of this franchise, buy it for curiousity sake for a dollar because that's all it's worth, otherwise avoid it at all costs!
1/2 out of 4.
