The first movie was so good because it did not take itself seriously at all, it just knew it was cheesy and over the top, so it embraced it, and as a result, made for a fun, if a bit of a guilty pleasureish experience.
This movie is BORING. It takes itself too seriously. There's too much going on in the plot, the characters are dumber than they were in the first. A boring, unpleasant mess.
