The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by David Koepp, Christopher McQuarrie and Dylan Kussman, with a story by Kurtzman, Jon Spaihts and Jenny Lumet. Starring Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Sofia Boutella, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, Marwan Kenzari and Russell Crowe. The money is one of the first films to start of the dark universe for universal studios, and boy there's a lot of negative that I have for this film.

In the 1930s through the late 1950s, universal Studios have made classic monster films, and for the time set with the films they were made for a horror style for the audience to be scared, but no.. in 2017 we have the most stupidest people that loses brain cells just because they need action in everything. The world needs more action the world needs more action the world needs more action, NOT!!!!

To be hones, I seen a lot of shitty films over the years, this is not a shitty film, The script, the direction, and the cast are terribly bad. But it was such a waste of money for putting in a big cost for a universe that may not go anywhere after this, why no his is that universal need to put their act gather and give her the audience really want out of these films that they're making for the viewing audience.

It is so disappointing that Tom Cruise cannot even make good acting jobs anymore, daddy doesn't go for the Oscar bate films anymore, A few good men, Born on the Fourth of July, eyes wide shut, The color of money. Don't get me wrong he is a fantastic action star, all the Mission Impossible movies, Minority report, is very rare to see an actor to do his or hers own stunts. Hey certainly did in this film this well, good or bad. I don't know who is the agent is, but is just seems very disappointing lately.

Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is quite interesting. I just don't get this universe, why does it have to have a universe tied into this. I get that Universal Studios is trying to compete with marvel, Star Wars, DC comics, Harry Potter, anything to try to complete the two competes Warner Bros. and Disney.

I wanted to be scared in this film, I wanted to have bright and yet drama characters. Characters that matter, characters that I want to think about all night before I go to bed. No it was just God awful. I just shows that universal studios really want to make a quick buck. Maybe it will be nice to see a change what their closet monster universe and give them a new start for the new generation. But it's not, it just shows me that viewing audience today is that they're just stupid, and studios like Universal Studios is making a quick buck.

Grade: 3/10.
