"Welcome to the world of gods and monsters." The Mummy is the first film in the highly anticipated Dark Universe. The universe about the Universal Monsters. This film has been getting bad reviews, but it's not that bad. It's pretty enjoyable. "After being betrayed and having her destiny wrongfully taken from her, an ancient princess is back with a vengeance and determined to take back all that should have been hers, including the world, bringing with her terrors that defy human comprehension." This isn't Tom Cruise's Worst Film. Tom Cruise was very convincing as this character. Russell Crowe was amazing as the Doctor. He was definitely my favorite character. His fight scene with Tom Cruise was so cool. Sofia Boutella is excellent as Ahmenet, The Mummy with plans of taking over the world. I totally see her as that character. She became that character and transformed the character. The other actors were also convincing as their characters. The cinematography was beautiful. The film had cool shots. The film flowed and it was very entertaining. The only problems I had with the film were continuity and the loose ends in the end of the film. I get that they are making a universe, but the ending felt open. They probably used this tactic to get people to want more. Some of the continuity was off also. Overall, a good summer popcorn film to definitely check out if u love action thrillers.

Rating: 6.7/10.
