So sue me, I actually kind of enjoyed it. Is this version anywhere near as much fun as its 1999 predecessor? Nope. But it's not the dreck of the universe either. Universal did make the same mistakes DC has made in setting up their universe.

They need to make great individual movies that can stand on their own and then incorporate them into a "Dark Universe". Because this is the first one, it is PACKED with character exposition and that did get tiresome.

Also, with apologies to Mr. Cruise, they probably should have found another star to build the story around. I'm afraid this is going to turn into the Tom Cruise Series co-starring Universal monsters.

Still, I recommend seeing it if you've already checked out Wonder Woman a couple of times.
