Thoroughly, totally, undoubtedly .... un-engaging, downright boring. What a terrible disappointment given such a strong cast and the amazing and iconic mummy trilogy (OK, the 3rd was not so good, but the first 2 - WOW!) that preceded it.
20 years on they are still far better in every possible way.
