Review of The Mummy (2017) by James H — 16 Sep 2017
I don't get why people killed this movie. I think people expected it to be a reboot of the mummy movies that came out in the late 90's and early 2000's. It's completely different from those movies and fits into the universal studio's dark universe.
I really like this movie because of the possibilities and potential for this universe. It's not your typical hero movie like marvel and DC universe movies. It's an out of the box idea and it's filmed really well with good acting.
Go into it thinking about Jekyl and Hyde, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, and the whole Munsters crew and I think you'll be happy with the result.
