Review of The Mummy (2017) by Jaime L — 01 Jul 2017
Given the bad reviews from critics and audience goers alike I wasn't really expecting much from this new Mummy edition and perhaps that helped because I came away feeling that this was... fine. Nothing that you want to kickstart a new franchise with unfortunately I simply had no real emotional investment to any of the characters.
Russell Crowe came closest but wasn't given enough screentime to really be attached to. The blonde sidekick was useless and the mummy was attractive in her living form so there is that I suppose. The movie definitely looks good, got to give it that, too bad that this is the biggest praise I can give it.
