1999's The Mummy with Brendan Fraser is far superior to this shit-show. This movie is just a sad attempt to cash in on the cinematic universe hype train and it shows. Universal was so concerned with establishing a cinematic universe, they clearly forgot to write a coherent story along the way.
They didn't learn the lessons from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Batman v Superman: Don't rush/force a cinematic universe. Save yourself the pain and do not watch this film. It's really a horrible experience.
