Bring a fan of Stephen Sommers? The Mummy raises the bar quite high for this new rendition, unfortunately I was left rather disappointed. The movie focuses on stunts and visual effects more than on the storyline or the characters.

Tom Cruise did a pretty decent job with his character if his lame lines in the script are ignored. The conclusion would definitely be the biggest letdown as it doesn?t fulfill the potential of the premise.

I think I?ll stick to watching Brendan Fraser and his mummies until a worthy opponent takes up the task of creating a better Mummy movie.
