Review of The Mummy (1999) by Jesse M — 07 Jul 2013
A wholesome good ole fashioned adventure with modern technical wizardry. This movie is pure popcorn and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The cast is fun and likable, the music score is bombastic, and the visual fx were a marvel for its time.
While it doesn't give Indiana Jones a run for its money since it is rather dumb by comparison, it stands firmly on its feet as its own brand of good high flying adventure.
