Review of The Mummy (1999) by Benn P — 22 May 2014
The Mummy is a very entertaining film. It has horror, humor, and fast paced action all weaved together. It reminds me a lot of Indiana Jones, but with a much different tone. I loved this film when I was younger, and still enjoy it today.
Brendan Fraser does a great job as the macho hero and Rachel Weisz is likable in her role. Just don't take this film too seriously, and view it as pure entertainment and you won't be disappointed.
