Review of The Mummy (1999) by Dominik A — 03 Jan 2016
The critic consensus accurately captures the power of this witty, playful action flick. It uses all the classic character tropes (rogue with a heart of gold, snivelling weasel, secondary buffoon sidekick, etc.
) extremely well. The villain is well-acted and scary, and the story is perfectly paced. 1990s action films had a light-heartedness to them that The Mummy exemplifies.
