Review of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) by Se7Enth A — 02 Oct 2009
Beautiful cinematography truly made this film a pleasure to watch and it did evoke some wanderlust in me. In the beginning of this film, it was funny watching these 2 passionate young men travelling on their beat up motorbike nicknamed "The Mighty One" as they ventured from Argentina, Chile,Peru and finally Venezuela.
Apparently they fell at least 50 times according to the personal memoir of Alberto Granado. It was masterfully directed by Walter Salles and so well acted by Gael Garcia Bernal. A biography worth watching over and over as we can see the wanderlust that inspired the journey, many miles and mountains crossed later and genuine life altering experiences that changed a fresh faced medical student to the legendary Che Guevara.
